Case study · Evgnosia

a wise, friendly owl for evgnosia.

Evgnosia wanted a brand that felt knowledgeable and approachable at the same time. We drew an owl wearing glasses: clever, but never stuffy.

Evgnosia · primary logo, reversed version and owl mark

good knowledge, worn lightly.

The name Evgnosia comes from the Greek idea of good knowledge. The brief was to show that idea without feeling academic or distant. A logo that people would trust, and also like.

the story.

The owl is an obvious symbol for wisdom, which is exactly why it’s easy to get wrong. Too serious and it feels like a textbook cover; too cartoonish and it loses credibility. We aimed for the middle: a simple owl with round glasses and a friendly expression.

The mark is paired with a clean wordmark and drawn to work in a single colour, with ink and white versions for light and dark backgrounds.

what we created.

01An owl mark wearing glasses

04Ink version for light backgrounds
05White version for dark backgrounds

the outcome.

Evgnosia has a distinctive mark that says knowledge with a smile. The ink and white versions give it the flexibility to appear on light and dark backgrounds alike.
